Shabbat Tot

Shabbat Tot is a monthly activity session for young children and their carers.  We aim to provide both children and adults with a joyful experience, familiarity with Jewish symbols and holidays, an introduction to aspects of Jewish culture, and a chance to build lasting friendships with other Jewish families. Participants enjoy singing and playing simple instruments, listening to stories, a craft activity, have-a-go Israeli dancing and of course, some nosh and a chance to socialise. 


Each month we have a different theme, such as Shabbat, an upcoming festival, or a popular Torah story such as Noah’s Ark, and the story and craft activity will be tailored around this.  Shabbat Tot runs parallel to the morning service and the religion school (cheder) and participants are encouraged to mingle with the congregation for Kiddush.  Sessions are open to all and currently attract both members and non-members, with children and parents coming from a diverse range of backgrounds.
