There was glitz, there was glamour and we had a Ball!!

Nearly 100 people - Temple David members, friends and guests, each splendid in their finery, came together at the Esplanade Hotel in Fremantle, ready to enjoy the type of evening that only happens every once in a while.

Enjoying pre-dinner drinks whilst listening to Amanda’s String Quartet , the guests were able to admire all the wonderful outfits, pose for professional photographs by Fahm Photography, and enjoy camaraderie only experienced by sharing something special.

 Then the ballroom doors opened and with lights dimmed, guests made their way to beautifully decorated tables each showcased by amazing illuminated centrepieces. Speeches were kept to a minimum -a short introduction by Ray Findley, the President of Temple David and a welcome by Trish Diamond, Chairperson of the Ball Committee. Door prizes were won and admired, a  lovely 3 course meal enjoyed and a selection of fine wines added to the merriment. By the miracle of modern technology, the pre-dinner photographs were framed and ready to purchase before dessert was served!

“Our Generation” a six piece band specially chosen to entertain, took everyone on a trip down memory lane. Starting with a set from the 60s and travelling though the decades to the noughties, there was something for all to enjoy and judging by the full dance floor, enjoy was what everyone did. We came, we saw and boy of boy did we enjoy!
