Each Shabbat morning from 9 am to 12.15pm, with an ethos of “learning about being Jewish is fun”, we welcome young Jews from the ages of 4 to Bar/Bat Mitzvah. Temple David has an amazing group of dedicated and professional teachers. We are justly proud of our young graduates.
A recent report from the Ethnic Schools Commission, who provide us with an annual grant, made special comment of our “caring, family environment”. We create an educational environment that promotes Jewish ethics and values by example.
Students also engage in Hebrew according to ability and fluency but otherwise work according to age for all other subject areas: TaNaCh, Jewish history, Jewish identity- all presented through a creative programme planned by the teachers. All the Festivals are taught through special Activity days which involve programmes that appeal to the senses and satisfy different learning styles.
