Discovering Judaism
Temple David runs a weekly mid week class in Hebrew and Judaism – this class is for people wishing to learn more about Judaism, people who are exploring their own Jewish roots and people who have made the decision to become Jewish in their own right. We have had congregants of all ages attend the class to further their knowledge as well as those wishing to convert. The class is interactive, text based and expanded through modern technology. Festivals are taught according to the Jewish calendar. The Hebrew classes are based on the siddur.
Parsha Hashavua
Fortnightly discussions on the Torah portion of the week are held prior to the Shabbat morning services.
Educational Programmes with Visitors
Whenever there is a Rabbi/Scholar visiting there is always a programme planned to appeal to all - usually starting with a Friday night Oneg, often a discussion group after the Shabbat morning service over lunch, sometimes a Havdalah programme and then a Sunday evening Forum. We are looking forward to welcoming Rabbi Roman early next year.
